The Nanaimo Mountain Bike Club was formed in 2000 under the name Pacific Rim Riders. The name was changed in the spring of 2002 to the Nanaimo Mountain Bike Club to better reflect the sport. We are a registered non profit society under the Societies Act of British Columbia.
Our goals are to:
- Organize group rides and events for club members
- Promote bicycle safety - on and off road
- Pass on good cycling techniques
- Perform Trail maintenance and enhancement
- Raise general awareness of bicycles
2008 Update: You must be a member to participate in the Club Rides. Please print out and sign the Member ID form and Release Waiver found on the Membership page and just bring them along with you to the ride with your fees. The Nanaimo Mountain Bike Club and/or Ride Leaders will not be responsible for any rider. All riders are responsible for their own safety.
We are located in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.
Nanaimo is on the east coast of Vancouver Island and overlooks the
Strait of Georgia, the City of Vancouver and the mainland
mountains.
Mountain biking opportunities abound in the Greater Nanaimo District
and in areas over the entire island.
