For out of town rides please meet at the designated in-town meeting place to assure that there will be riders attending. A ride is rarely cancelled but this is a means of checking if the weather is too discouraging.

** Please phone Phil (250) 758-4598, Annette (250) 390-2394 or John (250) 756-3959 for any ride schedule clarifications.

The Club holds various rides throughout the week. We ride all year round no matter what the weather is doing. The only thing that may stop us is a large dump of snow and luckily we live in an area where that doesn't happen often. Most of our riding is cross-country, single track, which usually involves climbing in order to enjoy the downhill.

All riders should carry basic repair tools, a spare tube, and a pump, because nobody likes to walk out. Good lights are needed for evening rides from September through April. When we have enough daylight and the weather permits, we barbecue after the rides and if we can't barbecue we usually gather at a local pub.

New Riders are welcome to join us on any of our rides. Mountain Biking is a physically demanding sport so you should have a fairly good fitness level. For those new to biking we suggest starting on the E&N and Parkway Trails to build your fitness level and then find some hills to train on.

If you are interested in joining us, send an email to NMBClub@hotmail.com or call John at (250) 756-3959 or Phil at (250) 758-4598.
