JOIN THE NMBC
Joining the NMBC means you care about trails and about the future of mountain biking in your community. Your membership dues support local trail maintenance and advocacy, and funds the necessary training and equipment the organization needs to build safe and sustainable trails.
As Nanaimo’s official mountain bike advocacy group, we work with private landowners and governments (local, provincial, and federal) to manage and maintain public trail access for non-motorized users, which includes hikers, trail runners, dog walkers—everyone. Even if you’re not an avid mountain biker, your support is deeply appreciated.
MEMBERSHIPS
All funds raised from memberships goes directly towards trail building and advocacy initiatives, so it’s a great way to contribute to the growth and maintenance of trails managed by the NMBC, which currently include Doumont, Westwood Lake, and the Outer Bypass.

Join Group Rides
Check out our riding schedule here or learn more about what to expect before your first ride. These group rides are a great way to meet other riders, improve your skills in a supportive environment, and get to know the trail network.
Build Rad Trails
Learn the basics of trail building. Work with members of our trail committee who have not only built many of the local trails you know and love, but also know how to build safe, sustainable, and fun trails.
Do Good
The majority of funds collected from memberships goes toward trail building & maintenance initiatives. A small portion is reserved to help cover operational costs & insurance.

The NMBC is a registered nonprofit organization and as such we have a board of directors which meet once per month, with the meeting date and time posted on the ride schedule.
